Deja Vue was a project I worked on at NDS. It was conceived to enhance customers’ cable TV subscription with interesting on-demand services you could take with you. The idea of Deja Vue was to tie locations, memories and media together.
Deja Vue consisted of an AR app for mobile devices and a web based user profile and content management system. In collaboration with broadcast content providers such as Discovery Channel, History Channel and many others, visiting a place and pointing your phone at it would not only relay information about what you were looking at, but allow you to scroll back in time to feed you media about the place, like historical broadcasts, documentary clips and overlay imagery as well as see your own past videos or photos shot there. Your own contributions would be aggregated and sorted automatically, as well as allowing you to manage your content and privacy as well as social/sharing settings via the web interface.
My responsibilities on the project were to design, specify and document the interface of the app and web component as well as partake in the production of final assets.
